Round Top Guide Part One: Let’s Shop
Nestled in the heart of Texas, between Austin and Houston, lies the tiny town of Round Top. Twice a year, the area transforms into the antiques capital of the United States, drawing collectors, designers, and treasure hunters from across the globe.
Let’s explore my favorite shopping venues for vintage gems. Pro Tip: Grab a guide when you get to town or head to Explore Round Top to plan your stops. Note that each venue has different opening and closing dates.
This renowned venue is a must-see for its 26-acre layout, 100,000 sq ft of shopping, and over 60 curated vendors, including PBR. Think curated antiques, art, and décor in a rustic yet refined setting with pole barns. It’s ideal for interior designers and serious collectors seeking quality finds in comfort.
The original heart of the Round Top Antiques Fair, this iconic, air-conditioned building houses a rich mix: early American country, English antiques, fine glass, turquoise jewelry, and rare art—all under one climate-controlled roof.
A field venue in Warrenton, Bar W is where the true hunt begins—dusty, open-air, bargain-rich, and rustic. Think flea-market style stalls, dusty treasures, and raw finds waiting to be uncovered. Bring comfortable shoes and a spirit of adventure.
Zapp Hall is quintessential flea-market vibe: casual displays, leather goods, primitives, and industrial pieces—all with personality and easygoing style. Great for sourcing standout accents in one go.
Spread across two locations, these venues feature a blend of antiques, salvaged architectural pieces, and repurposed materials across covered buildings, tents, and open-air setups. Expect a vast, eclectic assortment—from textures and metals to vintage oddities.
Located in Burton, this family-run gem has welcomed treasure hunters since 1992. Set in the historic La Bahia Turnverein Hall (and surrounding tents), it hosts about 70 dealers offering antiques, vintage finds, and eclectic collectibles. Best of all—it’s free to visit and park, with local catering adding a tasty touch. The breakfast taco is a must!
The Round Top Vintage Market is a year-round shopping venue. It spans approximately 13,000 square feet of air-conditioned space and hosts around 50 antique and vintage dealers, offering a wide range of treasures.
See y’all soon in Tent 1 at Blue Hills from October 4 to 18. Happy Hunting!
